The Buckeye

The Cape Cod design of the Buckeye home plan originated from the early 18th century. New England settlers used timbered English houses with a entry hall and living room parlor as a model, and adapted it to New England's weather and natural resources. The Buckeye house plan is a one to one-and-a-half story dormered home featuring steep roof with side gables and an overhang. The Buckeye features a great room, cathedral ceilings, a front porch and a rear deck. The home is typically covered in clapboard or shingles and is symmetrical in appearance with a central door, multi-paned, double-hung windows, shutters, a formal, center-hall floor plan, and little exterior ornamentation.

The Buckeye from Price Custom Homes fits nicely in Eastern, Southern, and Central Ohio. This area includes Athens County, Fairfield County, Fayette County, Franklin County, Hocking County, Licking County, Perry County, Pickaway County, Ross County, and Vinton County - including the towns of Athens, Chillicothe, Circleville, Lancaster, Logan, London, Newark, New Lexington, and Zanesville.
