Price Custom Homes

Price Custom Homes was built on a simple vision: creating places where families can put down roots and experience true community for generations to come.


That vision began in 1970, when Lonnie Price purchased land in the heart of Fairfield County with the dream of raising his family in a rural, family-friendly setting and enjoy the peaceful living the countryside has to offer. Located near the Wagnall’s Memorial Library—home of the Funk & Wagnall’s Encyclopedias—the development became known as Collegeview Acres, a name inspired by the Wagnall family’s long-standing commitment to education through local scholarships. That first project laid the foundation for what would become Price Custom Homes and Price Development Corp., now among the most respected residential builders and developers in Fairfield County.


In 1990, Lonnie and his sons, Mitch and Greg, expanded that vision with the development of Slate Ridge Estates. From the beginning, the Price family has been intentional about selecting exceptional land and designing country-style communities that balance privacy with a sense of neighborhood. To date, Price Development has completed ten such communities, with two more currently underway and another on the horizon.


Over the past several decades, Mitch and Greg have been hands-on in every phase of the building process, gaining firsthand experience in construction, planning, and general contracting. Their deep understanding of how homes are built—combined with years of partnership and leadership within the industry—allows them to guide each project with confidence, care, and attention to detail.



As a family-owned and operated company, Price Custom Homes takes pride in building high-quality homes at a fair price. We approach every project with the same care we would give our own home, focusing on thoughtful customization, clear communication, and personal service from start to finish. We’re not interested in being the biggest builder—just the one you trust to build your home the right way.

Where We Build

With Price Custom Homes, you can build on your own lot, or you can build on one of ours! If you own your own lot and want a builders professional opinion, we offer free lot inspections. We currently build in the following counties: Fairfield, Franklin, Hocking, Licking, Perry and Pickaway.


We have developed ten neighborhoods throughout Central Ohio over the past 50 years - Fairfield Farms, Hickory Ridge Estates, Cedar Creek Estates, Deer Run, Greenfield Estates, Pine Hill Estates, College View Acres, Cooks Pond Estates, The Woods at Clear Creek and Stone Hill Estates, with more coming soon! In addition to the neighborhoods that we have developed, we have several other Lots for Sale in Fairfield County.

At Price Custom Homes we walk you through every aspect of custom home building. We understand it may be new to you, so we take you step-by-step through the entire process!

    At Price Custom Homes, we build on your lot or you can choose to build on one of ours. We make the process simple, straightforward and offer free site inspections.

    While we offer a number of floor plans in a variety of sizes and costs, they're really only starting points. Every home we build at Price Custom Homes is fully customizable to meet your needs and expectations. We can even build from your plans or help you design a one of a kind plan!

  • Communication

    We're a family builder and we understand the value of good communication. From start to finish, you'll have our undivided personal attention throughout the process.

  • Experience

    Price Custom Homes has been around for more than thirty-five years. We're an experienced builder who will give you a quality home, personal attention and affordable price.

  • Cost Quotes and Control

    We itemize your costs so there are no questions or surprises. We outline all of the standards and optional features to take the guess-work out of it for you. There are three main factors that contribute to cost: lot, house and site improvements. Sadly, most builders don't even address the last one and customers are left with huge surprises at the end of the building process. At Price Custom Homes, we outline price to the very last detail.

  • Paperwork

    With every building experience there will be paperwork. We do our best to keep it minimal and explain everything to you in great detail. Everything you read and sign is sent home with you for future reference.

  • Financing

    Price Custom Homes offers a variety of financing options through a number of companies. Call us today to learn more about these options.

  • Site Inspection & Pre-Construction Meeting

    Before breaking ground, a Price Custom Homes professional will meet with you and the construction specialist on your lot, prior to home construction so proper placement of your beautiful new home is achieved. Yet another meeting is scheduled with you just before beginning construction to go over last minute details.

  • Home Construction

    We are there every step of the way throughout home construction. We personally oversee every project and are available for consultation at any point in time.

Mitch Price

Owner

    Having worked in many facets of the family-owned company throughout the years, Mitch Price now concentrates his efforts behind the scenes, in many of the administrative duties of the company. He is the go-to computer guy for marketing and other related tasks, and he helps keep the finances and company operations in check.


    Besides being the Co-owner at Price Custom Homes, Mitch is also the Lead Pastor at Life Church Vineyard, just outside of Lancaster. He enjoys partnering with his wife Lara, the Connections Pastor at the church, as they seek to create a family-oriented experience each week. They proudly state that the church is "A Family On A Mission!"


    He is a huge football fan, especially of THE Ohio State University, and the Fairfield Christian Academy Knights, where his son Zackary plays as their wide-receiver. If you're in for some fun, he's also been known to do some card tricks. Mitch loves that his life is so interconnected with his faith and his family and couldn't be more pleased to be a part of Price Custom Homes.

Greg Price

Owner

    Greg Price, a lifelong resident of Bloom Township, is the Co-Owner of Price Custom Homes. Growing up in College View Acres, the very first of many Price Developments in Fairfield County, Greg was mentored at a young age by his Dad Lonnie Price who taught him residential development and home building businesses. After earning a Business Marketing degree from THE Ohio State University in 1995, Greg joined the team as a Sales Consultant in March 1996 and has proudly remained in the same office ever since.


    With over 30 years of experience, Greg brings enthusiasm and expertise to every project. Whether he's meeting with customers, visiting job sites, or collaborating with contractors, he finds fulfillment in the daily challenges of homebuilding and residential development. 


    When he's not at work, Greg enjoys spending quality time with his family, traveling to new destinations, or trying to break 80 on the golf course.

    Lindsay’s passion for design and building lasting relationships with her clients extend well past her days here at Price Custom Homes and is ultimately what landed her a job here as a sales and design consultant. When she is not working closely with her clients to ensure their build runs smoothly and efficiently she spends her time enjoying life with her 4 kids, friends and family. Some of her favorite things include an early start at the gym, long walks, cooking, good music, and great company.

    Phil joined the PCH team after working 19 years in corporate retail Visual Merchandising and Human Resources Management. Within that time, he was recognized with a Company Visual Merchandising Excellence Award, being named the top of his peers nationally. Phil has had a lifelong passion for interior architecture and design and brings that passion and merchandising expertise to our design showroom, ensuring no detail goes unnoticed. Outside of the showroom, Phil enjoys traveling to Ohio wineries, exploring metro parks, live music, and spending time testing new recipes in the kitchen.
